Privacy Policy for Second Look

Effective date: October 22, 2026 Last updated: October 26, 2026

Second Look ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the Second Look app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Second Look iOS app and any related services.

If anything here is unclear, contact us at support@secondlookai.app.

1. Who we are

Second Look is operated by Siddhant Bajaj, based in New York, USA.

2. Information we collect

Account information. You sign in with Sign in with Apple or with your email address. With Apple, we receive the email address Apple provides, which may be Apple's private relay address. With email, we send a 6-digit code to the address you enter, and your account is created only once you enter that code. We don't accept sign-ups from known disposable email services. Either way, we store the email address with your account. We use it for account access and important messages about your account, and it is deleted when you delete your account. We do not send marketing emails without your separate consent. Some accounts created earlier also have a password.

Onboarding answers. When you start using the app, we ask three short questions: whether you share outfit photos with friends, whether you wish for a second look before leaving, and where you dress up for most. Your answers are stored with your account, used to choose your default occasion and to understand, in aggregate, how people use Second Look, and are deleted when you delete your account. They are never sent to our AI provider.

Your outfit photos and related data. When you take or select a photo to be analyzed:

Usage information. We record when scans happen, along with standard technical information such as IP address, device identifiers, and basic request logs, so we can enforce free-tier limits, prevent abuse, and operate the service reliably. This does not include the content of your photos.

Subscription information. If you subscribe, purchase and billing information is handled by Apple and our subscription management provider, RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, not your payment details. We never see or store your card information. RevenueCat separately collects a device identifier and records of subscription events (such as purchases and renewals) to manage this.

Age information. We ask for your date of birth to confirm you meet our minimum age requirement. We store only the resulting yes/no result, not the date of birth itself.

We do not use advertising networks or general-purpose analytics or tracking SDKs. The only third-party data collection beyond what's described above is RevenueCat's subscription-management data, noted above.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos or the descriptions and feedback generated from them for advertising.

4. How AI is used in this app (please read this section)

Second Look's core feature works by sending your photo to a third-party artificial intelligence provider (currently Anthropic) for analysis. This is an automated process. No human reviews your photo as part of the normal operation of the app.

A few things worth understanding about this:

5. Camera and Photo Library permissions

The app will ask your permission before accessing:

You can decline either permission individually and still use the other to provide a photo. If you decline both, the app's core scan feature will not work, since it depends on having a photo one way or another. No other functionality is affected. You can change these permissions at any time in your iPhone's Settings app, under Second Look.

We do not request access to your microphone, location, contacts, or any other device data.

6. Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to operate the app:

We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not sell personal information.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Second Look, our users, or others.

7. Data retention and deletion

Your account data (the stored outfit descriptions, generated feedback, and usage records) is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, this data is permanently deleted, including from routine backups within 30 days, and including any cached descriptions used to support features like reads for other occasions.

To prevent misuse of free scans, we keep a one-way coded version of your Apple sign-in identifier or email address, and how many free scans it has used, even after you delete your account. It can't be turned back into your identifier, and it can't be used to recover your account.

We never store your photos, so there are none of ours to delete. How long our AI provider keeps them is described in section 4.

If Second Look is ever acquired, merged, or otherwise transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you if this happens and if it materially changes how your data is handled.

8. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. This includes restricting access so that each account's data is only ever accessible to that account, encrypting data in transit, limiting administrative access to backend systems, and never retaining the photos you submit for analysis. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Age requirement and children's privacy

Second Look is intended for users 16 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger than our minimum age requirement. If you believe a user under this age has provided us information, contact us at support@secondlookai.app so we can address it.

10. Your choices and rights

You can:

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (for example, the right to request a copy of your data, or to object to certain processing). Contact us to exercise these rights.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and request correction of inaccurate information, under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Contact us at support@secondlookai.app to make a request.

11. International users

Second Look is operated from New York, USA. At this time, the app is only available in the United States, and your information is processed in the United States. If this changes, we will update this policy to reflect how information is handled for users in other regions.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and show a notice in the app before the changes take effect.
